My commute is in ordinary clothes. Although I do use waterproof
trousers when I know I'm going to be in heavy rain, I now carry
'rainlegs' (http://www.rainlegs.co.uk/) for occasional showers or
getting caught out. I recently had to use them in anger for the first
time and was very impressed - it certainly protected me from wet thighs
which is the most uncomfotable area when work clothes get wet. (I've no
conection with the folk who make these).
