A quick scan will tell you who to filter out. If you use a new reader
such as Thunderbird, adding names to the filter is easy. Actually,
there are only three name you will want to filter out, but one of them
keeps changing his address so people will notice him. The other folks
here are all good people with lots of information about knives, knife
making, metallurgy, leather working, ancient weapons, sharpening,
etc., and all are willing to share their information willingly. Just
filter out the trolls and you'll find this to be a very informative
group. Enjoy it. Don't let your first impressions influence your
decisions. Filter out the trolls and join in on the discussions.

Do remember that most of us have been here for years and know a bit
about each other's lives, so there IS a bit of off-topic conversation
going on as well. But mostly, this IS a knife news groups for knife
    knuts! Welcome.

Can I add to Chilla and Steve's post that if you block any post that is
Xposted to more than 2 groups you will also get rid of a lot of the
political and race related flaming that sometimes occurs.
I must admit when someone replies to the 3 Stooges/Trolls and you see
what they have wrote to get that answer because it has not been cut, it is
very tempting to have the odd flame at them knowing whatever they answer
back with is just going into the ether.

Dave, using Thunderbird, how do you block posts that are cross posted?
I'm not particularly interested in the political or religious arguments.
For that matter, I'm not particularly interested in MOST cross posted
post!! They tend to be cross posted just to incite the flaming. How do
    we block them? Thanks.

    Say Hey Stevie:

You will not be able to block cross postings. Your reason for wanting
to do so is because cross posting is bringing the truth to those who
so eagerly await for news of getting Steve Kramer squared away and
    rightfully so.

    5555 Yee-Haw !!
