There are those who don't have local access to good spice and then those
who don't feel they get value unless they throw good money after it.
We live in a small town of 3500 in a county of 35000 and we have a
wonderful selection in our local 'hardware' store. They couldn't compete
on the hardware with everybody rushing off to Wally World, so they
diversified.
I'll bet money, their spices come from the same barrels Penzey's packs
their 'samples' from. But my mother won't even walk through the door.
So you see, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't hold his head
under 'til the bubbles stop.
