Since the article says "Mead acid is not normally made to any degree when there is sufficient linoleic acid (at least 1% and optimal at 3% to 4% in humans)" isn't it nearly IMPOSSIBLE for a person to become EFA deficient?
Next to impossible for linoleic, but I suspect very possible with omega-3's.
