Anyone have this problem before? On my wireless speedometer, it receives
    the
signal from the transmitter when I hold the receiver next to my tire, but
when I mount it on the handle bars it doesn't pick up. Any idea why? I
    tried
changing the battery on the fork mounted transmitter but it didn't help.
    Any suggestions appreciated!

Try changing the batter in the computer.

I agree with cheap Cyclocomputers being junk.

I am on my third year with my wireless Ciclosport 434 ...you get what you
    pay for.
