There was a time when I had to remove the wheels to patch a tire. Not anymore. I slip the tube =
out like everybody else. So the key to the decision is how adept are you at what needs to be done. I am not all at experienced or knowledge about about bike repairs and they go slowly with a struggle. But in other areas of my life those things that I do well, I can do on the fly with half the required equipment improvising all they way with excellent results.
