Hi group,
On my wife's bike (a Scott MTB) the Deore-LX shifter for the rear
derailleur slips when trying to shift to a larger cog.
i.e. when I press it, it pushes all the way in without doing
anything. Sometimes it works however and it usually works when I
apply upwards pressure to the lever at the same time as pushing.
The question is, is it worth taking the shifter to bits to try and fix
this or is this a lost cause and it simply needs replaced?
Many thanks for your time!
