Hello,
I am planning a new setup for my primairly hill climbing bike (Seattle area, we ride often on 12% hills). The SRAM red is what I am thinking about. I'd like to get a compact 34-50 crank with the 11-28 cassette. The diff in the tooth count would be 16 + 17 = 33. The SRAM red rear derailleur is listed as compatible with - max 28T. Is it the max cassette tooth count or the rear derailleur capacity?
can someone confirm that the selected by me SRAM red components would work OK?
Many thanks.

It is compatible, the compact and 11-28. Make sure the chainlength is proper. Just enough chain to make the big-big combo.
