I haven't made this in a long time, either. The noodle is important. I don't think that regular egg noodles will do the trick. Needs to be a thick noodle. {Mystically Exported from MasterCook Mac } Pizza Casserole Recipe By: posted to r.f.cooking by Barb Schaller 2-28-04 Serving Size: 4-6 Preparation Time: 0:00 Categories: Casseroles/Hotdishes Amount Measure Ingredient Preparation Method 1 # ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 can pizza sauce (16 oz.) 1 can mushrooms (4 oz.) drained 2/2 # shredded mozzarella cheese 8 oz. frozen egg noodles (Reames brand) cooked and drained Brown together the meat and onions; set aside. Combine the pizza sauce, mushrooms and half of the cheese. Put half the sauce mixture in the bottom of a 1-1/2 quart casserole or a 9x13² pan, spread meat on top, then top with noodles.
