  1. Here's a recipe that my Mom passed onto me. The asparagus in the stores has
    been really great recently.

    Fresh Asparagus Salad

    1 1/2 - 2 lbs fresh asparagus
    4 tsp soy sauce
    1 Tbsp Splenda (or equivalent)
    2 tsp sesame oil

    Wash asparagus & cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Drop into 2 qts rapidly boiling
    water for 1 minute. Drain immediately & run cold water over the asparagus.
    Spread on towels and pat completely dry.

    Combine rest of ingredients and add asparagus. Toss until coated.
    Chill slightly.
