Andrei Kivilev has surprised and shocked the cycling and Eurosport community after crashing heavily
at an estimated 40km/h through the village of Saint Chamond in yesterday's second stage... Our
Coverage of todays stage begins at 15:30CET - An hour earlier in Britain...

15:40 This morning's stage began with a minute's silence and the Cofidis team lined up... Andrei
Kivilev is survived by his wife and 6mth old baby...

16:45 The Cofidis team led the race for much of the morning... the pace not really about racing...
it's about solidarity within the peloton today... very emotional scenes with fans applauding on
road sides throughout...

30 km Vincent Lavenu talking to Eurosport... the manager of AG2R who Kirilev raced for for one
season... A few words of tribute for Kivilev...

17:28 Francis van Londersele, Cofidis Team Manager, told Eurosport in a very emotional interview
earlier today that his lasting image of Andrei will be the day he showed the team pictures of his
baby child, and how happy he and the team felt on that day...

22 km The teams just taking it in turns to roll on at the front... just to keep things moving
tonight...

18:32 Tomorrow's stage is an individual time trial... which will commence with the last placed rider
after today's stage starting first and Davide Rebellin will start last...

19:36 Richard Virenque went around this morning from rider to rider to suggest to everyone that they
don't race today... the overwhelming consensus was that they would not race...

15 km The Cofidis team has headed to the front of the peloton... a straight line across the road...
the peloton falling in behind... they will ride until the finish...

2 km The peloton dropping right off now... the Cofidis team... in tribute to Andrei Kivilev...
