Recumbent Bicycle Group or Not?

I joined this group a couple of weeks ago because I am interested in
recumbent bicycles. All I have seen so far is tons of drivel from an
idiot named Edward Dolan. Eddie boy....if you are such an intellectual
as you seem to think you are, why can't you find the appropriate forum
for your comments? This is a group about recumbent bicycles not a
group to expound on Edward Dolan. Go make yourself a group named
Edward Dolan and have a ball! To the rest of you....just ignore him he
will go away. Or better yet....is there a moderator? If so block his
posts. As for me I have far better things to do with my time. I'm out
of here.

Wow! What a pathetic rant. There are bent posts here when people aren't
spouting off about Ed. Where's the recumbent themed post you were going to
share with us Ocala...? This looks like your first and last post and all it
did was add to the background noise. Shame on you for enticing us to read
your lame complaint with a catchy subject title.

Who is "everyone"?

BROL is a good place for those who would rather whine about some off-
topic posts by a troll, rather than contribute on-topic content.

The troll was not able to bring down rec.bicycles.misc, since the
regulars kept on posting cycling related material instead of running
to a moderated web forum.

Whines about "The Troll" - does NOT own a Sunset Lowracer.

DOES NOT whine about "The Troll" - OWNS a Sunset Lowracer.

Anyone else notice the correlation?

What good is hoarding money (once one has enough for the necessities
of food, shelter, clothing and at least one recumbent)?

The Earth Cycles Sunset Lowracer is FUN to look at, FUN to discuss and
lastly (and most importantly) FUN to ride.

The Sunset Lowracer is also [drum roll] ON TOPIC for
alt.rec.bicycles.recumbent, so no one can legitimately complain no
matter how many times I mention it.

When most USians complain about paying taxes, their real complaint is
that some of the tax money goes to people who are not of their race
and class. How many of the rich criticize corporate welfare (aka
socialism for business) or those of the middle class despise mortgage
deductions?

It is also those with the most who complain the loudest; though
doubling their taxes would not force any real change in their
lifestyle. The egotism of over promoting one's accomplishments,
ignoring the good fortune of birth into the proper family and social
class, and last but not least, undervaluing the contributions of
society and labor in wealth creation is an illness that is destroying
this nation and society.

One must question the patriotism of those who begrudge supporting the
common good of the nation.

butbutbut, the Earth Cycles Sunset Lowracer is the Most Fun Bicycle in

Free Agent is still out there. I use Agent instead, but remember FA as
OK, especially for being free. Don't know if Forte kludged up FA like
they have to some degree with Agent.

Free Agent is not free anymore. Apparently the current trial only works
for 30 days, and then you gotta pay for it.

I'm using Gravity. Free, albeit unsupported, and can filter on message
bodies as well as subject etc., thereby making it possible to filter out
not only trolls but also any messages replying to same.

Putting just the right amount of gin in your goldfish bowl makes the
fishies' eyes bulge and causes them to swim in a very amusing manner.

There is something basically unsettling about Gravity not being
supported...

My reader clearly shows that I DID "INCLUDE ANY OF THE POST TO WHICH
HE IS RESPONDING." So I guess that means you're "AN IDIOT!"

Yo Eddie,

Stop making a fool of yourself by making assumptions. Envy is not even
in the picture.

It is morally wrong that a FEW who are GREEDY and WEALTHY cause so
much misery in others.

It is a "big lie" that a certain fraction of the capital class simply
wants to make money to have more possessions - in fact they already
make much more than they can spend. The issue (since the start of
civilization) is that some want to have power over others. For them to
"win", they mush make others lose.
