Recumbent Shop near Sacramento/Davis

Excuse me for interrupting the Dolan raves to ask something related to
this group.

As a California transplant, Davis seems to be quite the bicycle
paradise (albiet they do need
to better consider pedestrians and others). I'm looking for a shop
that enjoys working and has
the expertise for recumbents.

Thanks.

Too lazy to check a map of Cali, but this shop in Van Nuys has a fairly good
rep. http://bentupcycles.com/index.cfm

The shop where one can buy a Velokraft NoCom, the fastest stock class
bike in the known universe!

Unless it races in RAAM against Bacchetta for some reason

Too many uncontrolled and unknown variables to be meaningful.

Put the same rider on the bikes with calibrated power measuring cranks
and see which one is faster for a given power under the same
conditions.

P.S. Is this the back of your head:

OTOH Sean the Costinator Costin broke Francis Faure's unfaired one hour
record set in 1933 on June 6 2007, riding his NoCom, the fastest unfaired
recumbent in the known universe, to a new record after 73 years of 28.459
miles.

It does not appear to be anywhere near Sacramento.

Any good recumbent shops near Sacramento or Davis. I have no desire
to take
excessively long automobile drives.

BTW, Sacramento has some of the most wonderful places to ride, along
the
American River Parkway. Miles of great bicycle paths along the
American River from
Folsom to downtown Sacramento.

There's got to be a great shop in Northern California, the Sacramento
area.

The fact that it was claimed to be the fastest bike in the known universe
(not stock class, fastest period) indicates it should have no problems
dusting any other bike regardless what race it is participating in. So far
it's batting 0 in RAAM

Yes, Max gave me a hell of a good run around White Rock

Yet it can't win in RAAM

Frm the data it appears it was faster as the NoCom riders managed to
recover from several crashes compared to the Bacchetta team's zero and
still catch up. And in some places they were faster.

So sans crash I'd say the NoCom was faster.

"Fast and stays upright" was not in the original claim.

My guess is the Baccetta riders slowed down so they could catch up

Neither was "Fast and crashes a lot"

Damn I miss Johnny NoCom :)

Hey, I thought the Johnny NoCom posts were just for fun. Of course, it
is silly to put "Johnny" in front of the name of one's favorite bicycle
and use it as a Usenet name. ;)

P.S. My favorite bicycle is the Earth Cycles Sunset.

Where is the definitive proof of the authorship of the Johnny NoCom
postings?

WHERE IS THE DEFINITIVE PROOF OF THE AUTHORSHIP OF THE JOHNNY NoCom
