http://www.recycleabicycle.org/. It's a program where donated bicyles
are repaired and sold by high school kids who learn how to run a
business. It's a lovely thing.

"VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We're moving our DUMBO Brooklyn store to a new location! We will have
more space and a dedicated repair/classroom for teaching. Can you
help us make the move? We need help with painting, light carpentry
and sorting/ transporting bicycle parts. We will be having volunteer
work days on the following dates:
* Saturday, November 3, 10:30am to 3:30pm
* Saturday, November 10, 10:30am to 3:30pm
* Saturday, November 17, 10:30am to 3:30pm
We will meet at our new space at 35 Pearl Street at the corner of
Plymouth Street

Our DUMBO volunteer nights in November will also be dedicated to
preparing for the move (Tuesday/ Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm in the
55 Washington St. location) "
