Hi,

I am trying to remove a set of campagnolo aero brake levers. THe problem is, I don't see anyway to do it. I have a bike maintenance manual that says thre is a bolt in the brake lever head that is exposed by pulling back the rubber hoods. I have pulled abck the rubber hoods, but see no blt anywhere. Does someone know how to get this off?

Thank you!

The rubber hood business applies to the new issue ones, and you peel the hood from the rear. For older ones, deatch the brake cable at the caliper, depress the brake lever and peer into the innards of the beastie looking for a hex bolt head.

A picture is worth a thousand words. If you have current Ergo style levers, check the park tool repair site:

If you have an older lever (non-ergo). The bolt is not under the hood but inside the lever body and will be accessed as shown in this link for current Cane Creek levers.
