Hi all,

I'm new to tubulars and I'd like to know if anyone can advise on the best cleaner/solvent to remove Continental "Special Rim Cement" from an old pair of alloy tubular rims that I'll be pressing into service. I'm in Australia so I guess I'm after a generic solution rather than a specific product (?).

cheers,

If the glue is DRY then you can just use a cheap/disposable, PLASTIC teaspoon to scrap/chip dried glue off a rim.

Remember, many solvents MAY ruin any finish that is on the non-braking surface of the rim, so some care-and/or-caution should be used.
