On my fine old Huffy, the rear brake pad holders have welded themselves
to the arms and the allen screws have rusted and stripped (never stripped
an allen screw before), so I want to replace the arms.
I remove the large hex bolt that apparently keeps the arms on, but the
make no move to come off. Indeed the bolt seems to be superfluous.
Since pounding is more likely to break the support for the arm on the
frame, I was wondering if there was some gear puller thingy that could
do the task, pushing the center and pulling the outer parts.
Lacking that, I suppose somehow supporting the center while pounding
the back of the brake arm with a drift punch would do it, though I don't
see quite how to do the ``supporting'' part.
