Hey all, this is my first post. My question is this: can the bushings on the main pivot be replaced with sealed bearings? Does it vary from bike to bike? If so, it's a '02 Yeti Kokopelli. Thanks for any help, I have no experience in this area.

I can't answer to whether its actually possible or not, it depends on the dimensions of the bushing and its housing. Take some measurements and then search the products database of some big bearing manufacturers like Timken or SKF. I don't think you'll find anything though, bearings tends to require a bigger outer diameter than a bushing, which would require a bigger housing, which would add unwanted weight to the bike.

Besides, there is very little need for it. It is a simple joint, with a very straightforward load case (as compared to the steerer tube for instance).
