Replacement Chainset - Please Help!

Hi,

I've recently been renovating a early '90's Saracen MTB and I've got
pretty much everything sorted out apart from the chainset and this
really could do with replacing but I've no idea what is available and
compatible with this set-up

The current chainset is Exage 400LX (FC-M400) with biopace SG 48-38-28
chainrings

The other componets are in remarkably good condition considering the
age (low mileage, some already replaced) and I don't really want (or
could afford) to go down the route of an entirly new groupset

Front derailleur Exage 400LX (FD-M400)
Chain CN-HG50
Cassette Exage 400LX (CS-HG50)
Bottom Bracket UN54 tapered

Can someone please suggest a chainset (or replacement rings) that are
commonly available and will work with this. Alivio something?

Many thanks,

Should be able to measure the bolt spacing (have a look on Sheldon Brown's
site) and then get some more rings. You don't need to get biopace, just
ordinary cheap round ones. LBS or one of the mail order shops like CRC,
Wiggle or Spa.
