find a recipe. muttabakh Date: 19 Jun 2004 22:14:55 -0700
When I was a young boy living in Saudi Arabia, I remember
eating a dish I was quite fond of. It was called muttabakh.
It basically consisted of a filling of meat, scallions, and
other greens wrapped inside a crust made of egg. Basically,
it was like a savory omelet. The only thing I know is that
it was made by some Yemenis. If anyone has a recipe for
this, please pass it along to me. My e-mail is
[email hidden]. Thanks for all your help.

Fundido and Ta Chien Chicken Date: Sat, 19 Jun 2004

Looking for two recipes ... one is something called: Poco
Pollo Fundido. I had it (and loved it) at a local restaurant
that closed several years ago (fooey) and have been mourning
it's 'loss' ever since. The second is: Ta Chien Chicken, a
hot-ish dish with chicken and a delightful mix of crunchy
vegetables. I've looked, but haven't had any luck finding
either of these through the search engines. Any help would
be very appreciated.

for Pigskin Braciole? Date: Sat, 19 Jun 2004 17:26:15 -0400
When I was a kid, my grandmother used to make these meat
rolls using a piece of pig skin, stuffed with breadcrumbs,
salame, cheese, etc. She would cook them (like most of what
she prepared) in tomato sauce. Since I'm currently raising a
pig of my own, I was thinking I might like to give this colestrol-
packed treat a try, but have no idea how to prepare it -- do
you boil the skin first, or are the hours of simmering in
the sauce sufficient? If anyone has an actual recipe, that
would be great.
Thanks.
