Research suggests possible, easy-to-implement treatment for covid-19

Jun 6, 2006

The second point of this article suggests taking some sort of chelator might mitigate the effects of Covid-19. Any seed such as wheat or beans is a natural chelator but the closer to raw or whole, the better.

"All the damage to the lungs you see in CT scans are from the release of oxidative iron from the hemes, this overwhelms the natural defenses against pulmonary oxidative stress and causes that nice, always-bilateral ground glass opacity in the lungs. "

Obviously, chelators would not be a preventative measure but would only be useful if Covid-19 were already destroying your lungs.

It would also seem possible to overdo chelation. Too much might strip your body of other minerals when you needed them to fight off illness.
