Ribble

I just ordered new wheels too from Ribble. The shop is near to where I live but ordering on-line got
me the free wheel bags and a free tube with a tyre. The only drawback, I thought, was no rim tape on
the wheels! Bit penny pinching in my opinion. Does anyone know of a practical, other than cost
related, reason why they do this?

Well if they used anyhing other than Velox the first thing I would do is take the tape off & throw
it away so that might be the argument....probably done to save money tho..

It's normal practice - to save money & time. Advantages are for you is that you can see if the
spokes are ok (ie. not over-long) and can use your own favourite rim tape.

Regarding Ribble and their service: It's not so much getting your order in the first place but what
happens after you need to return anything that you have to worry about.
