Has any one any personal experience with Ribble Cycles the UK based internet bicycle retailer? Their prices especially for components are very reasonable. I'm about to start to build a new road bike and I'd just like to know that they are a) accurate when shipping components and b) reasonable when I need to return components?

My own experience of them is good but I have heard bad stories from other people.

Same here, but the stories mainly centred around their own brand frames. A few weeks ago they shipped only one of the two items I ordered and have no back order system, without any email or phone call telling me they werer going to do this. Very stark contrast with other online shops, eg Bikedock phoned the other day to apologise about a shipping delay of a few days on the day I placed the order. I think Ribble are not quite up to speed with the "new economy", probably a legacy of being a long established bricks and mortar business.
