I'm about to take up cycling for the first time and have decided to go for a hybrid. My main intention is road cycling for fitness with a bit of light off road thrown in for fun. I live in a semi rural area with lots of bike paths, bridle ways etc so I'm guessing a pure road bike woudn't be great for this.
After a little research (although I'm not really convinced I know what I'm looking for) I've narrowed it down to a ridgeback velocity, trex 7.0 fx or giant crs 4.0. I would be grateful for any help and advice regarding these bikes along with any other suggestions. My budget is £250 - £300 max.
