riding the redwoods

Hey anyone out there ridden southern oregon and northern Ca? I have done norhtern Oregon and felt in the mood to do the south side, but would also like to ride through the redwoods. Anyone done that. Is it as run as I think it would be?

riding through the redwoods is nice, but you'll also be dealing with logging trucks, especially on route 101 which, along some coastal sections, is very narrow with sheer drop-offs and next to non-existent shoulders. however, it's generally worth the ride.

We are looking at riding southern oregon and into Ca into the redwoods. I was just wondering what the roads were like (ie safe for bikes?) And some of the necessary places to see if we rode there. Thank you.
