I use a mountain bike on the road a lot. I would like to take off the suspension fork and substitute a rigid fork. This fork needs to have cantilever brake posts and fit a 26 inch wheel. It also needs to fit the geometry of a frame designed for three inches of suspension travel. I am training for Mt. Haleakala which has a ten thousand foot elevation gain that is spread over 36 miles – so a light fork would be good. Any ideas?
Thanks, Tom

Kona make a good rigid fork called the Project Two. I think it even comes in a "lightweight" version.
