Hi all, I have a pair of riser bars in my MTB and wonder if they're any good for commuting? My body
appears to be bolt up right yet I have very numb hands after a few miles - way too soon methinks!
Any advice most welcome. Sam

of your palm. The numbness (in your pinkie andring finger I presume?) will soon disappear. -

I've never liked riding on the hoods but been happy to ride for hours on the drops. Someone here
suggested that most bikes have the handlebars in the "wrong" position - looks good but makes riding
on the hoods hard.Sure enough, my bikes have this problem. Ah-ha I though, maybe now I will understand why people
swear by riding on the hoods. It was better but I still preferred the drops however I started getting numb fingers as well.
Twisted my bars back to the "looks good" position and no more problems.Don't think this applies to the OP who (IIRC) wasn't using drops but that's my solution for numb
fingers. YMMVRegards,
Tim.
