I'm going to be in Miami Beach for a few days in March and would love to do a couple of light rides. Can anyone recommend a bike shop in the area that would rent a road/touring bike? I'm concerned about maintenance and fit - I would prefer a shop that takes cycle renting seriously and would take the time with me to make sure the bike was comfortable for me. I've rented (non-road) bikes before and have always been dissapointed in the shape that many bike shops keep their rentals in, never mind the lack of service in getting you going on the bike.
Am I crazy to be seeking good service like this? The trip is too short and has too many other stops to bother with bringing my own bike.
