I cycle to my work, which I have been doing for about 2 months now. I have a £300 hybrid
bike with road treads and have had about 3 punctures (should have been 2 but forgot to remove the glass the
2nd time), where some guy at work with a very expensive looking Specialized bike at least 3
times a month has left his bike over night due to punctures.
Now Edinburgh's cycle paths and roads are littered with smashed glass (dont know if this is
norm in cities out with Scotland). I just don’t know why this guy is getting so many punctures.
He should either bring with him a spare inner tube or invest in more puncture resilient tyres
and is also very lucky that our work has a very secure area in an under croft for bikes
