I'm kind of stuck on type of bike as far as mainly road vs some off-road. After a few years of limited experience with MTN biking, I've been wanting to get into faster road biking...say 75% road/urban biking and maybe 25% improved trail (paved, dirt, light gravel). Have narrowed it down to following bikes, somewhat in order) after trying other demos (Giant Defy Adv 2 Carbon 105, Giant TCX Advanced SX Carbon SRAM Apex1, Trek)
1) 2018 Cannondale CAADX Al alloy w/ carbon fork/seat posts, Ultegra R8000, Shimano RS685 Hydraulic Disc
2) 2018 Specialized Roubaix Sport 105 Carbon 11 Spd, Tektro Mech Disc
3) 2017 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Disc 105
4) 2018 Specialized Diverge Comp E5 105 AL/Carbon fork
* My thought was maybe to swap 28 tires from the Roubaix and Synapse models above with a 30/32 to cover primarily road terrain as well as improved trail/light gravel
FYI - I'm physically fit, age 60, 6'1"/175
Would appreciate any comments, etc. Thoughts??
