Road cycling routes from ob/mb to mountains?

I’m in town (OB) with my bike for a brief stay, looking to get some long-ish climbs in starting from OB, something in the 50-75 mile/3-5K feet range (round trip)? Shorter/less is okay but seems like the minimum to get to the hills and back is going to be around 50. I’m reasonably comfortable with traffic but like any sensible cyclist I’d prefer less

Any suggestions, tips, etc.?
