Should a hybrid frame size be the same as one's road bike frame size?
The reason I ask is that when I bought a hybrid bike a few years ago the LBS
recommended a 48cm frame. I'm 6'1" with an 89cm inseam (yeah I'm mixing
systems). A little later I got a 60cm frame road bike that another LBS
recommended . Now I'm looking at a Rivendell and they recommend a 61cm (at
least). It's close to the 60cm roadie but the hybrid bike has thrown me for
a loop.
I rode the hybrid for years and never thought twiceabout it, but after I
got the road bike the hybrid feels like a tiny circus bike whenever I ride
it. Was I just poorly fitted or are ATB/hybrid bikes made to fit
differently?
Just curious,
