It cuts the bend in the section of housing going to the rear derailleur. Does it work? Probably does
a little bit. I have one on my mtn bike, and none on the rest of my bikes. Can't tell a difference
between the 5 different bikes shifting wise.

Maybe it'd do better with a more extreme cable routing situation, but I certainly wouldn't pay more
than $5-10 for one.

It works for me! My Titus Switchblade was going through rear der. cables faster than Roseanne at a
pancake breakfast. Installed a Rollamajig ($10 at Pricepoint; yellow one for hardtail was $5 I
think), and it's been shifting fine ever since.
