I recently bought a Minoura Action Mag Roller to use indoors with my road
bike.
The instructions indicate that the front wheel axle should sit 10-15mm
(0.4-0.6 inches) behind the front roller axle.
There are holes in the front of the roller frame so that the front roller
can be moved to accommodate different bike sizes. However, on one setting my
front wheel axle sits exactly above the roller axle, but on the next hole
forward, the wheel axle sits 30mm or 1.2" behind the front roller.
So I cannot set the roller to the recommended position. I've ridden the bike
in both the above positions and reckon the one with the wheel 1.2" behind
the roller was a little more stable (didn't want to jump over the front
roller as much) but that could be my imagination.
At the moment I'm using the wheel-directly-over-the-front-roller position as
it seems less extreme.
However, I really don't know what's best.
Can anyone offer advice here please?
Many thanks!
Nicholas
