Has anyone used the Rotor Q Chainrings? They are elliptical in shape and I
am wondering how the front derailleur handles this changing diameter as it
spins during shifts? Anyone out there w/ experience?
Thanx,
Andy

Elliptical sprockets are nothing new. Shimano had a version, called
"Biopace". The eccentricity generally does not cause any problems in
shifting, but you need to position the front der to provide the
minimum safe clearance at the sprocket's maximum radius. (Whether
such sprockets cause problems for the *rider* is a Matter Of Debate.
Opinions vary.)
