well, ok, i lied. well, it was the same trail as last time, but this time, it seemed easier. like the hills weren't as steep, or the terrain wasn't as technical.
I guess it is safe to say, i am now a born-again mountain biker.
Oh, and for those that marked their calenders to when i lose the net, the date has been changed to the 12th due to the ISP's billing schedule. -- ~Travis

It happens! The trail I rode today was one that I've been riding for 7 years. It used to be a nighmarish beating every ride. The last couple of years we've been wondering what all the fuss was about. Same thing - the "tough" climbs aren't so tough anymore, and the technical stuff isn't so technical.

yeah, but gaining that back after one ride, after being off the bike for... ages? that in itself may be my saviour in this sport. -- ~Travis

It happens. You get your balance back, and the little ol' brain is reminded of the difficult places on the trail. You tackle them easier the second time around. It's a sense of achievement. -- Westie
