Near the end of my ride I hear a snap from area of my cassette. So I look down low and behold theres this big space between the hub and cassette. I know its the locknut come off. I get the bike home I pull off the rear wheel. Thats it locknut and cog fall off. I check out everything. Every part is in tip top order. The drivetrain is Shimano XT cassette,body, hub, crank,and chain. And the derailleur is a STX RC. This has never happened in all my years of riding and wrenching. I just wish freewheels would come off that easy.

freewheels do come off easy. just get a big ox of a friend, and a wrence with a 6 foot extension. ;-)
