Planet X said:Hi,
Can anyone suggest a good running watch in the UK. I want it to be
simple, large (illuminated) display, able to set an alarm (beep) on
each minute, stopwatch, and that's it. Oh, and maybe the time 🙂
I don't want anything complicated like GPS etc.
I'm going to piggy-back and join the chorus of votes for the Timex Ironman
series.
All models should have a "night mode" where the display lights up whenever you hit
a button.
What I especially like about using the newer ironman models for intervals is
that they have a start/lap and stop/reset button configuration (instead of the
traditional start/stop, lap/reset setup). And the start/lap is a big button in
the middle of the watch -- very easy to hit it, even if you're running and
wearing mitts.
You should check about the interval timer (the "alarm on every minute" feature
that you mentioned), this varies by model.
Cheers,
