Hi- I read this group at times, but have never posted before. I am a
32 yo new mom, life long recreational runner, and after a difficult
pregnancy have started running again. I was hoping to get some advice
from other parents on how to get those long runs in. My daughter can
entertain herself a little bit while I'm on the treadmill with toys, TV
etc, but rarely for more than 30 minutes or so. Running during
naptimes is an option, but again, rarely for more than an hour.
Currently I get my long runs on the weekend while my husband watches
her, but we miss running as a couple. I have a jogging stroller now
(BOB); can anyone tell me when it is safe to run with her in it? We
don't have a lot of sidewalks, and the roads here are fairly bumpy.
She is 4 months old, and has pretty good head control, but is unable to
sit up yet. I have put her in it for short walks, and while she HATES
being strapped in, she seems to tolerate the ride OK. Also, any tips on
how to get her to like the stroller would be much appreciated. What is
a realistic hope for how long a 4 month old can tolerate the stroller?
We live in a warm area, so weather isn't much of an issue.
