  1. hi im a newbie mt biker..

    i recently got ripped off by an ebay dealer.. the picture looked good, but what i got with lot of rust. its a Giant yukon looks about 8-10 years old. anyways 2 late now, id rather deal with it now.

    i got a few questions.

    1. how should i remove rust and prevent it from rusting?
    should i do a total respray of the frame?

    2. is replacing
    i.brakes (brake shifters), cables,
    ii. gears,
    iii. chains

    hard to install?

    You might be ahead of the game by throwing it in the dumpster and starting over. Anything is possible,but why spend alot of money on an old piece of junk,especially since your question indicates a total lack of knowledge. Sounds like a black hole money disposal project. That might sound harsh,but it IS reality.
