Rutto crossed the finish line in an unofficial time of 2:05:49, a new debutant's world record. The
previous record was set at 2:06:47 by Wilson Onsari in Paris this year."____
He ended up missing the Chicago Record...huh?...how did that happen... With his split at 25 Miles of
1:59:54....I figured the Chicago Record (2:05:42) was all his....especially with the
crowd....perhaps he had too much of a lead an no one on his heels pushing him...
