S brand compact cranks to arrive soon

maybe old news here, but if not:

was told this week that shimano compact cranks are "on the way"

the most interesting part was that "S" claims the new compacts,
will work with existing double front derails. :confused:

whats your guess for small rings? 34 or 36?

also, all new 105 and above drivetrains will be 10-speed,
with the hollowtech integrated BB design.

Existing double FD have worked with compact cranks for years.

Yep, that's true. the radius matches up better though. It looks nicer, but probably doesn't make much (if any) difference in functionality.

I wouldn't look for them before this time next year.

and yes, my 2 year old da9 fd shifts my compact (50/34) crankset almost as well as my new da10 fd shifts the 53/39. adjustment/setup is key.
