Saddle measurement ?

Go to a Specialized reseller. They have a memory foam/gel pad called the "Assometer" you can seat on. Your seatbones will leve their marks on the pad long enough to measure the distance between them. The chart on the back of the pad will tell you what saddle width you require.

That's a good start, but there's still only one way to see if a saddle fits.........sit on it for a while.

I've never heard that it's necessary to X-ray one's ass in order to determine saddle fit. I think Specialized has a device that their dealers can use to measure the distance between one's sit bones. While slightly embarassing it does not require exposing one's genitals to radiation.
