Saddle Opinions

Fizik saddles are highly regarded saddles in various reviews that I've read; but all saddle comfort is base on ones individual butt, thus what may be comfortable for one may be miserable for another. I would recommend that you buy the saddle, more then likely you would like but no guarantee therefore if you buy the saddle check to see if the place your purchasing from will allow you to return it after X number of days.

Many saddle companies allow you to return the saddle if it is not comfortable. If that is the case, spend the dough then try it out on a some longer rides. Try to be riding for at least 1/2 an hour or better yet at least 1 hr or more to see how it feels.

A quick trip around the parking lot doesn't tell you much.

Any bike shop worth being called a bike shop will let you exchange saddles if one purchased isn't doing the trick. Some bike shops also have loaner/test saddles to try out.

speaking of fizik saddles.....

I was alos on the look out for a new saddle and came across this new fizik aliante VS model which is the only fizik I am aware of that has the"love channel". took it out for a quick 20 mile test ride and it felt good so far. it has some good padding to it but it isn't to squishy. The material is almost "slippery" which makes it easy for your body to pivot on it. so far so good, we will see how it holds up to a longer ride this weekend.
