  1. So i had been complaining about my stock saddle on my 07 Specialized Roubaix. I believe it was a Specialized Avatar saddle. I went to my LBS and had my sit bones measured. It turned out I needed a much wider saddle(155). I went with a Specialized Alias. At first I loved it but after about 20 minutes of riding i'm still getting some numbness and pain after a while. What gives? Do I need to switch saddles again? Any recommendations?

  2. Check the tilt adjustment on the saddle. It should be level or tilted forward very slightly. Make sure that the saddle is positioned far enough forward so that you are sitting on it where it is wide enough to support your weight on your sit bones. Give it a couple of days for you to get used to it. If none of this works, then yes, you need a different saddle. Don't get discouraged though. It may take several different saddle trials to get the one that works for you.
