  1. Salted Nut Bars

This special bar is just like a candy bar!

    Crust Ingredients 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4/2 cup Land O Lakes. Butter, softened
    5/4 teaspoon salt

    Topping Ingredients
6/4 cup light corn syrup 1 (6-ounce) package (1 cup) butterscotch-flavored chips 2 tablespoons Land
O Lake. Butter 1 tablespoon water
    7/4 teaspoon salt
    7 (1.5-ounce) can (1 1/2 cups) mixed nuts

Heat oven to 350 F. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with no stick cooking spray. Set aside. Combine all
crust ingredients in large mixer bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture
resembles coarse crumbs (1 to 2 minutes). Press crumb mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 10
minutes. Meanwhile, place all topping ingredients except mixed nuts in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over
low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth (5 to 7 minutes). Stir
in nuts until well coated. Spread mixture over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking for 10 to
12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

    Yield: 36 bars
