  1. The IHPVA will have a race on the Hellyer park Velodrome (Track) on June 1st

Come out and try the track. I'll be there with my front drive low racer. I learned my lesson last
year. I had a 68 tooth chain ring and a 14 tooth cog. I ran out of gear at 28 mph. I have a 11 tooth
cog this year and hope to get to 30 mph.

The following came from Carole Leone

    ===========
    website is www.calpolyhpv.com/hellyer.htm

On the website is information about the Fun Day, directions on how to get to the velodrome and three
forms to download and complete. One form is our entry form. The other two are required by the
velodrome. You get two bonuses for downloading the forms and mailing your entry to George and I:

    1) you save $5
    2) you help to get the races started on time by eliminating having to fill out the forms the morning
    of the race!

If you send in an entry and end up not being able to be there, we will refund your entry fee
    after the race.

This is the first time I've tried using a website, so please let me know if you have any problems
    accessing the information or forms.

One more thing: I am also working on getting a velodrome date at the Encino Velodrome on the campus
of Cal State Northridge. I've asked for Sunday, July 20. I will post the information when I get
approval of the date from the Encino Velodrome people.

I'll have my bike there for any child who needs a bike to race.

Please pass this message on to anyone you think may be interested!

    Carole and George Leone
