    ive bought a scott addict 07 frame. it has press fit BB cups, which allows it to have a completely carbon fibre bottom bracket shell. with no thread.

    someone suggested to me that this means it can only be used with shimano cranksets. is this true or can a build using campy or sram be achieved

    someone help me before i learn the hard (and expensive) way.

    I'm doing exactly the same thing with my Scott CR1. Campag do two sizes of press fit BB cups that then allow you to fit their Ultra Torque chainsets: Campagnolo Integrated Cups (Press Fit)

    Only problem I'm having at the moment is getting the shimano cups out so I can fit the campag ones. They don't want to budge!
