Good day to all, I just picked up my new CR1 sl today. There was a bit of steerer length left uncut, i have moved the stem to the bottom of the steerer. My question is about the aluminium wedge the steerer cap bolts into. Does this need to be down where the stem clamps so the steerer isn't crushed? Or can i leave it in the top, the stem sits below this wedge and am not 100% sure about this. Thanks to all who reply.
