Scott CR1 Pro: Good carbon bike?

I see them on close-out online with Ultegra drivetrain for about $2600.00.

The BB is one of the stiffest carbon ones tested and the frame is very light.

I kind of like the weave finish of the '05 model..the '06s are painted.

I've got one of these (campag though) , I bought after test riding a few other things at a comparable price point.. i'm very, very pleased with it. I found numerous good reviews on the thing.

I own a pro updated with several DA parts. It's a very good all around bike IMO. Stiff enough but not too stiff to punish you.

I like the 2005 too.
The 2006s are downright ugly.
I think they shot themselves in the foot with the 2006 paint jobs.

I don't own one, but I have heard lots of great things about them. They are also the bike of choice for weightweenies.starbike.com

My LBS has a 2006 CR1 Pro for 3,200.00. Scott web site lists it for around 3,695.00. I'd like to pay 2,600.00. Saving 600.00 would be nice.
